Norb. Overworked?

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hi Norb.

How about taking every second weekend for yourself, and relax if you can.

I mean, can't push as hard as you are, and not get exhausted.

Later!

I took most of today off to watch my daughter play soccer. Didn't get online until tonight for a team mp test. I do really enjoy coding, but I really hate when my code has bugs. I've been doing this since 2001 when I started working on these games. It's also great fun to work with a dedicated group of people. We just want to get you guys running and running well. Then we can relax a little.

Did notice that Napoleon offers(d) a Beta patch and still has game crashing bugs to date. I''m not absolutly sure ,but I believe Hist-War's Les Grognards offered a Beta patch also, besides a patch for recent fixes. All I am referring to, is that other recent releases have their problems too.

Yeah all new games have their bugs, even the big game companies with huge budgets and office buildings full of employees. :)

I've been very happy with our release. Yes there have been bugs but overall I think it's been a great first release.

I agree with you Powell, I know people are experiencing issues and crashes. I do have myself the dreaded sound problem but the game has not crashed ONCE here and it's a remarkable result for any 1.0.

I agree. This is a remarkably stable game given its complexity. Large gaming companies can only aspire to reach this level, even after 3 or more patches.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

I hope so too, it's too early to tell. Yes, we got hit with a lot of orders, but this sort of thing grows. If people like it and keep playing and talking about it, then we'll do great. We figure the way to make that happen is to support it and keep adding new stuff. So that's what we're doing. We don't have a big advertising budget, you gotta sell your soul to a publisher for that. We will look to do some advertising after the reviews start coming out.
