Okay, it seems I have to carry this on my own.

No Mister Mikesla, At the moment our priorities are on ridding ourselves of the bugs as they are presented.

Please refrain from asking these questions until we are ready look at the wish list of our consumers.

Suffice to say, we will be issuing an add on within this year which may incorporate this particular request.

Yours respectfully....me, or you, Who?

:)

Just a joke.

Sorry, missed this one.

Mister Mikesla, please explain the difference between this and our current sandbox mode.

Hello Mister Norb. :)

Well, having a random campaign generator would created a fictional starting from date 1 to date 2, choose which maps you wish to use (yours and user created maps), army makeup, set a predefined resupply amounts, etc, which then the program would take all of the info, and make a predefined amount of scenarios, and tie then into one large dynamic campaign, which would then at the end tally up the points between the two sides, and say who won the war of the states.

The sandbox mode doesn't do this, it's only meant to be played as a single, as your campaign mode is a string of scenario's tied nicely together.

I could be thinking of a third party program maybe?

OR is this another fully written game that would take 5 years to do?

Like I have mentioned before, I'm not a programmer, and have no idea what it takes to program something like this.

It's like I'm on the titanic while it was sinking, and I told the engineer why he just can't stick his finger in the hole to stop the ship from sinking, meanwhile not grasping the full extent of the damage to the ship.

:)

A campaign game is on the chart, it's not 5 years. I've been waiting to do it for a while now. It would be more in line with how I like to play. Random campaigns may come from that, we'll have to see.

There are so many things that I want to do, even can do with a little work, but I'm a perfectionist and I don't allow myself to move forward until I've got these bugs squashed. I have to get this base more stable first.

But but but what about Antietam and Shilo?? waaaaah! lol

I would also like to see a Random Campaign Battle Generator with user selected time limits and number of battles. Have you ever played Matrixgames Panzer Command:Kharkov? It not only has a random campaign generator that a user can put like 100 battles or more if they want but also has random battles generator as well. It's probably one of the best random generator type games for WW2 out there and the only one I know other than Steel Panthers WW2 that has a campaign generator as well as a battle generator.

What I'd really love to see is this combat engine married to the Total War series OR Western Civilizations games like Forge of Freedom or Crown of Glory.

And I'd die for this combat engine for Ancients like Rome or Greece or anything in that era. I can just see a regiment of SPARTANS at Thermopolie (sp) lining up to hold the gap in their red capes and kewl looking graphics armor.

I probably can't say it enough but you sir have mastered the combat engine of all times to present. Sure it's still a little buggy in the way they setup lines but no other game gives me the fun factor and immersion as this Take Command series combat engine. I almost find the Total War series childlike in its endeavor to do the same and it was out long before yours was. It has the most stupid ai I've ever played for such a beautiful graphics game and empire building game. So hurry up and do at least one ancients game please. ;)

It's a good policy Norb. First things first... and then we have a whole community building mods and extra stuff. Some of these guys are really wonderful, it's one of the best gaming communities in the world.

Would you be so kind as to tell us the status of the beta patch? Ready for release? Adding new fixes? If so, which ones?

Count me in for a random campaign/battle generator also. Canned scenarios and/or same old maps get boring pretty quickly if there isn't enough variety and random maps, campaigns and battles sure give all of that in spades.
BTW The Wargamer suks nowadays. :) They still talkin bout you Norb. Same ole fools and retards like Son of Montfort and Jarhead and most especially Gusington.

No new status on the patch besides we're testing. Hopefully we'll have another beta ready soon.
