Crash, sent back to desktop.

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

Crash, sent back to desktop.

Hi.

I haven't tried lowering my graphics yet to see if this occurs again. If it does, I'll give you a shout.

Okay, here are two save files. 1 is the autosave, which loads, and then it crashes about 5 seconds later.

The second is a save that allows me to play for about 3-4 minutes, then crashs. [file name=Saved_Games.rar size=398642]http://www.norbsoftdev.com/media/kunena ... _Games.rar[/file]

Hi.

Just an added note for my earlier post.

I have updated my video drivers for my video card, and loaded the both game saves, and it sends me back to my desktop. Also, I lowered my video settings to their lowest possible, then exited the game, then reloaded the game to see if the log file is still giving me the warnings (listed above), and it's still giving me those same errors.

The file is my complete system info from DxDiag. [file name=DxDiag-b8e271079b4e2ca849e64307085470f5.txt size=46482]http://www.norbsoftdev.com/media/kunena ... 5470f5.txt[/file]

Both save games also crash with the beta patch. We will take a look.

Hi.

I started the same scenario over from scratch, and no buildings were showing, even though I maxed out all the settings. So I decided to defrag the HD, cleaned my registry with two tools I use 1:CCleaner 2:Registry Cleaner, scanned my entire system for any Malware, Spyware, Virus's, and everything is clean.

rebooted.

Loaded SOW, played same scenario from scratch, no buildings again. So I lowered the graphics, closed SOW, loaded SOW, reset my graphics back to full (best), and the buildings are now showing up.

Also, I noticed something I found a little odd. When I did save the game (Earlier game, which you have), I noticed that it saved the scenario as a Sandbox game, not a scenario game (not sure if that matter's or not).

Also, one question to ask.

I had installed a minimap-mod that is offered on your forum here. Would that at all be a cause of a problem? The saves had this installed at the time.

Here is the list of files that are for this minimap mod.

1: 1_McPherson_MM.dds
2: 2_DD_RT_MM.dds
3: 3_culpsHill_MM.dds
4: 4_PPT_MM.dds

It also includes a backup directory as well. I know you know these files, I just wanted to list them for the sake of a complete report.

One more thing. When I started the scenario from scratch, are your troops, and objectives random, or fixed?

Because I started off in another location, and the scenario objectives seemed to have changed...Just wondering.

Anyway, I hope I'm not being a bother here, just something I thought you may like to know.

Thanks.

Now that you mentioned it again, I see that it is a SB save game. Strange.

The graphic files should not cause the problem, but just in case you should try it with the default files.

Troops and objectives should be fixed if it is a scenario.

I know that you are not running with the patch, so it easily could be one of the crashes that we've already fixed. They can happen no matter what type of game you are playing. Just set the download before you go to sleep and run it overnight.

I did, same thing.

No point for me to post any error's or CTD's until I download the patch.

Sorry for the problem guys.

Thanks.
