When the troops march over quite a distance, for example Picketts charce, is the AI going to automatically march them in collums as in TC2M, or will they actually hold their line formations? That was one of the things I didn't care for in TC2M. When marching they would form into a collum, no matter what the distance from the enemy. And a third of them would get slaughtered before forming into battle line to engage. Has the AI troubles been correcting regarding this issue?
Also, If this question has been posted somewhere else, I apologize for the duplicate.

This came up on the TC2M Board (Franklin map post) a way round that was suggested would be to change the marching formation in the Unitcommon.csv file to Line formation (Column Y - Unitcommon)however This is a different game engine.

I agree. There are definitely times when you want to advance in battleline. You can get farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.
