Steam Availability

Post by jam3 »

Will SoW be available on Steam? Even if it takes a little while longer I would wait to purchase on Steam, just makes the entire process easier for playing games, no cd, can patch an install easily, saves and serial keys to your account, etc. One you start using it becomes hard to purchase anywhere else if your into ease of use for your games.

I waited 3 months for Fallout 3 GOTY edition on steam and there was never any word it was going to be put on there from Bethesda. I know publishing deals can get all whacky but the consumer just wants to know so they don't make a purchase they later regret. In other words I would hate to purchase this title at release with no word about Steam and then see it listed there 1-2 months later.

Anyways i am dying for this game most games today are so poor compared to the golden age of PC gaming in the 90's nice to see a developer sticking to the PC and producing amazing quality innovative titles like the TC games are and I am sure Gettysburg will be!

No, there are no plans at all for it to be available on any of the major download services. Rather, it will be available everywhere they host demos. So it should be very easy to find and download.

Amen to that! I'd been waiting years for Sid Meier to release another ACW game before I found TCM2.

It's as if the twitch gamer crowd moved in and killed innovation, fun, and enjoyment from the PC game world. It's sad, really.
