That is something that I would consider. It would really depend on finding someone reliable to take charge of it. Someone to test the mods that are submitted to make sure they work. Then to upsite the site. Since it would be our site, I wouldn't be comfortable just allowing people to upload anything. But if there was someone willing to take on the responsibility, we have the web space.

I'll offer to help, however I'd be a poor canidate to do site work, for I'm not computer savy.

Looking at the two of us, I'd say we are similar, but your smarter.

Boston, we may be similar in some or many areas, and different in others...but being smarter is certainly not applicable! As you are well aware, all people have certain strengths and weaknesses, but that does not translate into being smarter! In my case, as a strict constructionist regarding the interpretation of the Constitution, I have undoubtedly spent more time studying the Founding Fathers and their philosophies then some others including the aforementioned areas. Does it mean I am smarter? Of course not!

@kerflumoxed: But it helps you realize how far away our politicians have strayed from the original intent of the Constitution over the past 15 to 20 years doesn't it? :laugh:

I always felt our founding fathers wanted to keep our Congressional members more as volunteers and temporary entities, instead of the highly paid professional career politicos we have today. I think the longer one holds onto that sort of power and fame, the easier it is to fall into corruption.

I know we as U.S. citizens have the power to get rid of these career sorts, but unfortunately, given the costs associated with running a campaign, restrictions on who can run, and the long drawn out process and roadblocks to being placed on a ballot, we tend to get the same sort of individuals beholden to many entities (both human and corporate who expect access/results, to the political process, for their campaign contributions).

I would like to see all Congressional members give up their life-time free health care, since it has removed them from any decisions they make about reform. Easy to vote for bad policy when it doesn't affect you personally.

I would also like to see them accept retirement plans which mimic the ones which the average middle-class worker has been forced to accept lately. I'm not sure if it is true, but I have heard our politicians, after being in office a certain number of years, get 100% of their ending pay as retirement, with annual increases not attached to the cost of living index.

Not that there is a chance of the above ever happening, but I would wager we would see a much more cooperative environment in Washington and be better off as citizens if it was to occur.

hehe Well I will get off my soapbox now. It doesn't bode well to start political discussions in a gaming forum consisting on many people of many different affiliations. Plus, I don't want to derail the original posters (OP) topic.

@kerflumoxed: I wouldn't say I'm computer savvy, but I have messed up and repaired my messes enough I know a bit about these darn torturous devices.

To me intelligence isn't a matter of how well one tests, how many degrees one has, or how well read one is, since these can be affected by outside influences. I base my assessment of one's intelligence on how well one learns from their mistakes. To me you cannot truly learn something until you get your hands dirty with it. In doing so, you make many missteps and, through trial and error, increase your knowledge. For instance, I now realize I could have left out the last 3 sentences and just typed in; "Learning through experience is King." and saved you guys a bunch of unnecessary reading!

Tests are only a "measure of performance!" Degrees...well, BS = Bull S**t, MS = More S**t, and PhD = Piled Higher and Deeper! Mistakes...oh, my...too many to mention!

My preference...Common Sense! I believe the smartest man is the one with Common Sense! How many people do we all know (particularly in Washington City) that are lacking Common Sense? "Well, that depends on what your meaning of 'is', is" or some other inane comment! :woohoo:

Computer mess-ups...Thank goodness for an inexpensive service I have subscribed to that handles my "mess-ups"...at least once a month!

Now, back to editing my old thesis on the Fifth Iowa Cavalry...perhaps it will get published this time! :unsure:

If you shook my hand, you'd know I mean what I say, and be thankful that the blood is returning to your hand afterwards. I might not be the smartest, however I am good in many other ways.
