Pressure , Pressure , Pressure

Post by AP514 »

Quote from Norb: End of march I got a month yet to clean it all up.

As Norb and the Team race for the finish line.. They see the light at the end of the tunnel. :) Little do they realize that the light they see is from all the players aboard the Train raceing up behind them  RUN NORB RUN :woohoo:

We are going mental. Code freeze on Friday. Then final testing and all the other stuff I have to do to get this ready to sell.

RELAX! I know, easier said than done! You will be just fine...as will the new game. (Which is/was more distressful....the new kid or the new game!)

Sorry to have to tell you this....but you will be too late! The old Stonewall Brigade (or what's left of us) is going to take Culp's Hill on Day 1, contrary to Early's reluctance. By the time we have finished, those Abolitionists will be in full retreat back to Washington City!

But, unfortunatly, Hancock's whole corps came driving onto Culp's hill that night and drove Ewell's Corps out of Gettysburg!

To bad, those plans ultimately fail, but the Orphan Brigade, making a forced march from Tennessee, comes to the rescue of it's eastern brothers. :P ;)

Well Norb, look at it this way . . at least you didn't have to wire up a level sensor and temperature probe, while wearing breathing apparatus and biohazard suit, in a hot 150,000 gallon tank, containing a chemical which kills both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria and is a known carcinogen. Breathing even the slightest into your lungs kills you in less than 24 hours (apparently your body needs a bit of bacteria to keep you alive), while getting even the smallest amount on your skin ends up causes a type lymphatic cancer, which is thus far, incurable. It was not one of my more relaxing days at work. :)

So kick back and enjoy the soothing process of finalizing the coding of your game and getting it ready to sell, realizing it could be a lot worse . . you could be me!

PS: Tomorrow I get to install a 1600 AMP 13,800 Volt circuit breaker! Here's a video of what might possibly happen even if I am careful.

Though unlike in the video, I wear a full suit of 100-Cal rated material (with Kevlar lining: to catch shrapnel) helmet/faceshield, and rubber electrician gloves with leather overs.

Hope this brightens your day a bit and puts things in perspective for you. Good luck, take your time, and don't put too much pressure on yourself. I always found that playing with my kids, when they were babies, always helped bring a smile to my face. :)

And, Elmo, I thought my tomorrow would be bad simply explaining the principles of Nullification and its relationship to the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions when compared with the concept of Concurrent Majority!

Thanks for the uplift!
