One thing I don't like about the TC2M cavalry is that the suporior cavalry commanders, notabley division commanders had no control over his cavalry, I don't like the time it takes to move every single unit too one location when I could just simply press a couple buttons. But that's just me. Also, I use my cavalry extinsively in scenarios, using them as scouts, VP holders, running down routing units and using them to hold a number of places against attacks!
I'm in complete agreement with you! A little while back this issue (CO) was addressed by the NSD Team, indicating cav. command button changes or add-ons, hopefully they will satisfy yours and mine wishes. :P

What I did like in TC2M about cav. was the road column command for each unit. Wished it could be done with infantry and artillery units. Sometimes I would leave a detached infantry unit to guard a location or support artillery, hold a VP ect., then at some point have that unit rejoin the brigade, which by that time could be some distance away.
Infantry and artillery in TC2M were modded so they DO have a road column command for each unit. I can't remember if it was patch 2, 3 or CMP 3.0 that added this, but it is a very useful feature for the reason mentioned already! Norb enabled the 'forcepath' funtion for individual units to allow this as a toolbar mod.
