Battlefield
From the screen shots I've seen so far, the battlefield looks awesome. I'm happy to see that Little Round top is strewn with boulders, and not covered in a thicket of woods like shown in the film. You guys are doing a great job, and it's about time to see The Civil War given such devotion and care when it comes to PC games. Keep up the good work guys, as you already know, we're damn impressed with your work!

You can get farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.

Re:Battlefield
The scene with the 20th Maine. I know the crest of the hill was wooded, but in the film it makes it look as if the entire hill is in the middle of a forest. I was always under the impression from photos that the slope was actually bare, aside from the rocks and boulders.

Re:Battlefield
It depends on which part of Little Round Top you stand on. Where the right anchor of Vincent's brigade was, that's bare with rocks and boulders. Where the 20th was, that's heavily wooded.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.

Oh, ok. I wasn't sure, as I haven't had the oppertunity to go there yet, and have only seen the battlefield through old, and new photos. Most of the photos show the bare slope with the treeline just at the crest of the hill.

Re:Battlefield
The Round Tops don't look the same today as they did at the time of the battle. There were much fewer trees apparently. Post-battle photos show this to be the case. There were trees on it, but you're right, not entirely like in the movie.
