ARMCHAIR GENERALS INFORMATION

Enlistment into Armchair Generals will enhance your experience as a
"Take Command" 2nd Manassas gamer. You will chose an Army and be
given command of a Brigade of infantry as a 2nd Lt in the civil war,
(We are utilizing TC2M as a training software to get ready for "Gettysburg scourge of war" Which will be online multi player).

You will be given orders to be carried out 3 days a week, each order
completed will be awarded with one point toward promotion.

Orders are posted on Mon, Wed and Fri and will be posted in the correct forum with exact instructions, after completion you will take a screen shot
of your grade and post it in the after action section of the appropriate
army's forum section with a written after action report detailing your Brigades action of the day...You will also be required to attend ventrillo
voice server officer meetings being held Mon, Wed and Fri @ 8 PM est

(we realize some officers will not be able to attend all meetings)

At these meetings we discuss your grades and other important information, then we discuss the historical battle using various battle maps..Most officers are on our ventrillo server nightly as we are working
non stop as we have for years discussing battles ,working on the web sites or playing other war games, so there is always something going on
so your never without friends to talk to...

As an officer you will be required to have two free programs

Download the client version then install, we should be communicating with you by xfire by this time walking you thru the setup.

You will also need a headset to communicate with your command staff
you can get one just about anywhere Wall mart, best buy, you don't need anything expensive I have used radio shack 19.99 headsets for the last 7 years and they work great and are very cheap

The folks over at "Gettysburg scourge of war "say they have not and will not
hard code a multi player in game player limit so we should be able to have
large battles with many commanders on both sides...

We are currently in process of training up commanders to be ready for the invasion of the south due in just a few short months, so come and secure
