In Game Music

Post by JDunn »

I remember some of the music from TC2M and I was wondering what kind of in game music this game will include. The music from the movie Gettysburg is very good in my opinion. It sets the tone perfectly for just how epic and important of a battle that Gettysburg was. Anything along the lines of that type of music in the game?

Besides the menus in TC2M, there wasn't any music, and I kind of liked that. The gunfire was better I thought. As for this game, I have no clue.

Hey JDunn,

What I do when I play TC2M, is play the Gettysburg soundtrack in the background, low volume.

It sounds awesome with all of the gunfire and cannons going on.

And with each song, you can visualize the part of the movie it was !!

:) :)

You're right Armchair General, I was referring to the music that is playing while you have the game menu up. Chamberlain, that's actually a great idea, i had not even thought of that. Maybe there could be an option to turn music on or off in game. It doesn't matter too much to me since the game is already pretty far along, I was just curious.

We will have music during the game selection & loading, similar to TC2M. In addition, we have fife & drum music that will randomly show up for units on a road march. These can be turned on or off in the game options.

When you mean fife and drum do you mean like what the Iron Brigade was playing while marching past Renolds in the movie Gettysburg?

I think one of my favorite scenes in the movie Gettysburg with fifes and drums is shown in the following link. The song is "Frog in the Well". The way the scene is composed with the forest of musket barrels and then the camera going to the flag really seems like a well executed camera shot.

How many of you realize the actor who portrays Ellis Spear is Donal Logue? He played opposite Megyn Price in the comedy series "Grounded for Life".
