Re: The Ethical Implications of Historical War Games. can I ask you something?

There is no risk. Wargames have been around forever, and wargamers tend to be an intellectual bunch. It isn't about glorifying violence or death or suffering. It's about tactics, strategy and just hanging out with your buds pushing cardboard counters around. Let's not make more of it than it is. It'...

Re: Expanded Toolbar - Grog

I am not "dumping" on his hard work. The toolbar is superior to the stock thats why I use it. But as I stated 95% of the stuff included in the mod is not needed. Things like trees, scenarios ect. Map folders contain the trees needed for that map, so it's not needed in a tool bar. Scenario...

Re: Expanded Toolbar - Grog

"you historically accurate guys"... LOL. Yes there are many who think they know the history, and promote themselves as authorities. There are many that blatantly lie about it too. This is a very common issue with anything. But to insult the "History guys", and state you don't ca...

Re: Expanded Toolbar - Grog

All video games can be broken. All of them. There is always something you can do, some technique, some strategy, some sequence of moves that will stand head and shoulders above the rest. That I created them has nothing to do with what the developers intended. They could not have forseen it. I'm not ...

Re: Expanded Toolbar - Grog

You "historically accurate" guys always crack me up. Most of the time every one of you has a completely different idea about what is or isn't historically correct from the next guy that thinks he knows what's historically correct. What matters to me is what works best in the context of the...

Re: Scourge of War - Remastered announced

Already wishlisted! Theres just one little itsy bitsy thing Id like to address after viewing the screenshots. Now obviously I have no way of knowing how early or late stage a build these screenshots were taken from, but the first thing that jumped out at me was that I was still looking at the old st...

Re: Scourge of War Update

I agree it would be fair, but I don't like making promises I am not sure I can keep. Right now there are some life issues with a few of the team and it's tough to have dates. I would love to get a prerelease version out this year. We are working towards that but we cannot make promises because we s...

Re: Using Mods with 'Steam' Games Question

Hey Rob, Thanks for the info, this is a whole new experience for me since I've never used a Steam-based game before. I've attempted to figure out the Workshop procedure but I'm still clueless on how to upload a mod (the Grog Toolbar) to Steam to make it available to subscribe to. Any ideas on how t...

Re: Using Mods with 'Steam' Games Question

Could someone please explain how mods are included and used with 'Steam' purchased games? So generally there are two primary ways to mod games on Steam. The first is the Steam Workshop, and this is the easiest way. Basically if you go into the steam workshop for any given game and find a mod you wa...
