Re: GCM Mini-Campaigns After Action Reports

<t>Certainly an excellent report indeed.... I for one suffered from the painful loss our gallant rebels sustained... it is a rare day that our men find defeat in two battles in succession.<br/> <br/> Other than being somewhat bummed regarding the defeats, I must say that the format of the mini campa...

Re: Grand Campaign Beta - Need a few volunteers

I think that the trees should stay... it really adds quite a bit to confusion, and places a real burden on commander with restricted sight. Toggling trees off, becomes such a crutch. Limited sight would be just another step towards some realism, along with getting closer to the saddle.

What to do if you drop or crash out of a battle

<t>This is for new players, and amazingly enough, for folks that have been around for some time. <br/> <br/> If you crash out of a battle... DO NOT just say, "aw shucks, that's too bad" and call it a night to check in the next day. PLEASE, try and establish communication as soon as possible, and inf...

How to.. and how not to ask for a restart if you are late.

<t>Right up front, there is the question if you should even ask for an ongoing battle to be stopped and restarted for you if you missed the start. I personally will not do that, but when I am in a battle, I have little objection to someone asking... I must admit, it doesn't sit really well, but I do...

Scenario editor for Multiplayer?

<t>why would you EVER create something just for single player mode in the first place ???? Single player = dead end enjoyment at some point, whereas building in functionality for multiplayer use opens up the game to long term use by that many more buyers....<br/> <br/> Just don't understand the busi...

Re: Low-VP game settings for GCM battles

<t>As we have seen in the past, when no objectives are in the battle, armies then to find defensive positions and sit tight, waiting for attacking army to suffer casualties... and why would they do that ? They don't.... so you have two armies facing off, with little reason to attack a strong positio...

This topic has been moved to Gettysburg forum.... I assume for wider readership... I would advise responding there, as this could be more advantageous

Re: Risk of losing GCM... way forward ?

<t>I mistakenly posted this twice, but I will add text here as well....<br/> "With Garnier leaving GCM behind, and the necessity of finding another to carry it forward, what are the odds of this "community" being able to take on this task. Given that it has had difficulty from time to time, even fin...

Risk of losing GCM... way forward ?

<t>With Garnier leaving GCM behind, and the necessity of finding another to carry it forward, what are the odds of this "community" being able to take on this task. Given that it has had difficulty from time to time, even finding $85 a month to cover the server costs, unfortunately, I fear the worst...
