Re: This game for steam (hear me out!)

<r>I hope that means that NSD have something lined up even more promising than Steam. Otherwise, I am of the same view as Philippe Malacher, lead developer for AGEOD who is promoting their latest game thus:<br/> <QUOTE><s>
</s><URL url="http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...s/?id=93111493">ht...

Re: Steam: Greenlight

That's the thing about Greenlight. If it works, it will be a way of using popular opinion to circumvent the suits at Valve who didn't even have the courtesy to respond to Norb.

Re: Steam: Greenlight

4.5m Steam users online over the past 48hrs.

All the best.

This thread should either be closed or moved, I think its served its purpose of making NSD aware of the new Steam: Greenlight system.

Re: Steam: Greenlight

<r><QUOTE><s>
</s>Monty, kind of sad to burst your bubble but that is what Steam is, it is a full time, 24 hours 7 days a week DRM package. It is so far much more of a DRM product than the less intrusive serial activation that is already in place for SOW. I can't believe that people still thin...

Steam: Greenlight

<r>Hi Norbsoftdev,<br/> <br/> In case you haven't been made aware of this already, it looks like Steam are going to be adopting a new crowd-sourcing method for identifying games they should distribute called Steam Greenlight. I know NSD haven't had much luck with Steam in the past, but this looks li...

Re: MP Courier Crashing

<r><QUOTE><s>
</s>Many people play MP every night and usually have games without issues.<e>
</e></QUOTE> Are they using couriers? Otherwise that's statement is irrelevant. Our group can play MP perfectly fine <B><s></s>as long as we don't use couriers<e></e></B>. If we do, then i...

Re: MP Courier Crashing

I'll point out that our group (which includes Leffe and Gobbler) only play with a mod that introduces a textured minimap and (rarely) a few custom OoBs. Since Antietam came out we've been using the DRF mod that came with it.

Re: MP Courier Crashing

<r><QUOTE><s>
</s>Thanks NY - I <I><s></s>think <e></e></I>that couriers between players are OK, it is using Custom settings and couriers for Brigade and above where I have experienced problems and where Monty's group are also having troubles.<e>
</e></QUOTE> That is incorrect. <...
