Re: Patch Update

Norb it might be a good idea, with the modders' individual approval, to get the most significant mods into the official game instead of using them separately and forcing players to install them one by one.

Re: Released Mod Threads

Is Marching through Georgia's alternate artillery efficiency a mod or more simply a mere edit of the game files?

Powell can you confirm all mods listed are up to date with SowGB 1.2?

Re: Patch Update

There's no point in getting upset or disappointed if a feature doesn't get in. There's always margin of improvement and ... provided we're all in good health, there's time!

Re: Tests on 1.1b

<t>Yes he's unattached but if you send the order to reattach right away before the courier arrives, the man is already engaged and it's the end of the story. He keeps selecting the strat order to hold at all costs no matter how many times I sent him the no orders command most likely because of the d...

Re: Tests on 1.1b

<t>Did another major test. Garber will not take the NO ORDER, he basically does whatever he wants and I don't know why. There's not much else to do at this point, at least in this tutorial, but cover him as best as the player can to avoid losing the guns entirely. This time he got engaged pretty clo...

Re: Tests on 1.1b

<t>Am reading your AAR, a very good one and seeing how you use the courier. I did not use the courier window for individual units and it's a bit tricky with generals because of their wish to carry out the strat orders first (hence your suggestion of "no orders"). <br/> <br/> Are there any good mods ...

Re: Tests on 1.1b

<t>Tests carrying on, nothing much to add about the arty tutorial, except that the problem of fatigue can NOT affect the infantry fire onto the artillery which is deemed totally worthless. In my personal idea, an artillery unit within musket range would be obliterated at the first volley and the ser...

Re: New Patch – What is your best Feature?

<r>A bit late but I still wanted to add my personal best. <br/> <br/> I am 50% - 50% in this with which feature I like best between the new pathing algorithm and the command map. I think the pathing is more important or, at least, the one that gives a subtle but SOLID improvement to the game, at lea...

Re: Tests on 1.1b

<r>Did a quick test with the Arty Tutorial. <br/> In this tutorial CSA has a battery of 4 guns 2 of which are 12lb Hwtz and 2 are 3". This battle was fought in pretty close range as the farthest I shot to was at about 500yds (beginning of the engagement) and then as USA gets close to my obj (left of...
