Re:Playing a Courier only battle

Maybe there could be a "Couriers ignore roads" option in the future? Just sayin'. Are couriers as suicidal as they were in TC2M?

Re:Looking into John Tiller Series.

<t>I was able to try out one of the original Battlefield games, the Gettysburg one, from like 1995. Didn't care for it much. <br/> <br/> But I did buy Forge of Freedom a few days ago. It's quite intimidating, not really knowing how to go about this war dropped in your lap, and it's going to take wee...

Re:Horrible sound

Yeah, disabling hardware acceleration in dxdiag fixed it.

Horrible sound

Just downloaded and fired up the tutorial.

My issue is that the sound is very muffled and "echoey", like someone yelling into a vase or something.

I think it may be an issue with my sound card and EAX. Does the game use EAX or hardware acceleration?

Re:Looking into John Tiller Series.

<t>Wow, I left this thread for dead a while ago  <br/> <br/> I'm not totally into hexes (though I enjoy steel panthers, as tedious as the big battles are). Sadly, Matrix support told me that the Napoleon and Civil war games are no longer sold together as a bundle. Still, these games did inter...

The Blue and the Gray mod.

<r>For owners of Empire Total War, here's something certainly worth watching. It's not finished, but the guys are making progress and what they have so far looks astounding. Be sure to check the thread for their videos!<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=260572">htt...

Looking into John Tiller Series.

<t>While I wait for SoW, I figured I'd check out the John Tiller Battleground series that's bundled on Matrix. Generally, I don't care much for turn based hex games, but if they're really awesome then I usually like them.<br/> <br/> You really can't tell much from screenshots, I can't find any video...

Re: HistWar Les Grognards

<t>Whoof. I thought it would be the be all end all of Napoleonics, looking past the lego-man like models (Probably would've looked better with 2d sprites). But I played through the tutorial twice and still had no idea how the hell this game worked. Probably after heavy patching and a coherent UI it ...

Re:Theater campaigns in the future.

What about flags? Will the game keep a record of battle flags my men capture? Sorta like a trophy room?

Theater campaigns in the future.

<t>Howdy. Long time TC player. I still have my 1st Manassas CD, sad to hear it's out of print.<br/> <br/> Firstly, am I right that Gettysburg will be a collection of scenarios that give the player objectives, like the previous Take Command games?<br/> <br/> Secondly, how about future titles taking p...
