Re:7YW: On The Line

I love that movie. I know the hand-to-hand fighting was ahistorical but the LOOK of that movie was so great.

Also, it was pretty stirring. It made me want to run through the forest a lot (without somehow tripping every few feet).

Re:"Unit builder"

<t>You are right it would make sense better in a campaign mode. <br/> <br/> I think another way of blending it more with the civil war in a story sense is what if you were a notable in a town and decided to raise volunteers from around the same region. "Unit builder"

<t>This is an idea I've had in my head for a long time and since there is little chance I will ever do it myself (I'm in software development but not in gaming), I will put it out there for you guys to chew on. It's not a new idea but I haven't seen it in use in a historical wargame like this (I for...

Re:WISHLIST - Seven Years War

Ah well for some reason I got a hankering for some bayonet and musket style warfare and looked up to see what MMG was doing and found my way here. :)

Re:WISHLIST - Seven Years War

<r>By the way, there is a good episode of Canada: A People's History that contains a reenactment of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham. <br/> <br/> I found a clip of it here:<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://www.canadaka.net/video/509-canada-a-peoples-history-the-plains-of-abraham.html"><LINK_TEXT text=...

Re:WISHLIST - Seven Years War

One thing for the French and Indian war:

Some kind of ambush mode so you can take advantage of your irregulars (Indians and rangers).

On the European side of the conflict:

Great flexibility in use of scout cavalry.
